Niyukti Kendra, under the Skill Development Department, is pivotal in bolstering employment and skills for women, marginalized individuals, and unemployed youths in Sikkim.
Our center provides comprehensive job placement, apprenticeship facilitation, and career counseling to empower the local workforce and bridge the employment gap.

How We Work
Our structured approach ensures candidates are skilled, supported, and successfully placed.
Collaboration with 138 establishments ensures a consistent supply of monthly job and apprenticeship vacancies, forming the backbone of Sikkim's employment ecosystem.
We conduct extensive outreach in schools, colleges, and ITIs. Those needing support are guided to free training programs from 16 certified providers to enhance their qualifications.
In partnership with various departments, we have organized 12 major career counseling events across Sikkim, providing invaluable guidance to help candidates make informed career decisions.
We organize large-scale job fairs (14 conducted so far) where companies conduct on-the-spot interviews. This streamlined process achieves placements within 20-25 days.
As the nodal agency for NAPS & NATS, we use online portals for real-time tracking of apprenticeships. For regular jobs, we are developing a dedicated website to digitize and streamline monitoring for enhanced efficiency.
